Sattazahn v. Pennsylvania, 537 U.S. 101 (2003) [FindLaw] [Lexis], holding that a state may re-try a defendant, and seek the death penalty, after the defendant’s original trial resulted in a conviction and a life sentence, but the conviction was overturned on appeal.
