Yet to be explored in the capital context is the impact of Indiana v. Edwards, 128 S. Ct. 2379 (2008) [FindLaw]holding that a trial judge may in certain circumstances appoint counsel for a defendant competent to stand trial but are not competent to engage in pro se representation.
